How to set a world record

1. Research

Check about any similar records using our Search option from our Hoe or News page, Google, etc.

2. Submit World Record Attempt Application

Go to "Contact" page, then choose 'World Record Registration Form' to submit your application.

3. Receive our approval and offer

If your record attempt is approved, you will  receive our confirmation an details about the costs.

4. Officially Start World Record Attempt

You can officially start the new project by requesting the invoice for our services and pay the fees to have your attempt recognized, verified & certified by us.

5. Receive our Official Record Attempt Kit

After we receive your payment for our services, AOWR will send you:
  • Our Official Forms (you need these to submit the FINAL application)
  • Our Official Logo (must be on display during the record attempt
  • Our Instructions
  • Official Rules to set the new world record

6. Set the new record

Use our Official Forms and our Rules & Instructions package to help you set the new world record.

You need to have on site a Sheriff, a lawyer or similar person to confirm your record; you also need a surveyor (for size-related records) or accountant (for number-related records).

You MUST use the legal Metrology or an accredited accountant to collect the evidence.
You also need a Professional Photographer and Videographer to record your record attempt.

7. Submit the new world record

Use our 'FINAL world record certification' page to submit your new world record.

8. Receive our Confirmation

After we verify your documentation, we will send you a confirmation if you set a new world record. The record will be published on our website.

9. Submit original evidence by snail mail

After you receive our confirmation, you will be asked to send us by courier (EMS, DHL), the originals (our forms, your evidence, newspapers, photos, etc). We MUST have these on file BEFORE we send you the printed world record certificate.

10. Receive the World Record Certificate

After your new world record is listed on our website, we will send you the text for your new world record certificate, for final review.

You send us back the text with your comments, we print and ship the certificate.
We will send you the tracking number.

Our Shipping Manager will check online the status of your package, on a daily basis. We have a dedicated 24/7 phone line for each shipping partner, to allow faster communication about the status of your package(s).
